Silly and Sometimes Stupid Opinion Requests

Presented by: Real Estate Finance Subsection

Program Title:
Silly and Sometimes Stupid Opinion Requests

Program Date (NEW DATE):
Tuesday, March 20, 2018

Program Description:
Our panelists will discuss legal opinions for real estate finance transactions. While touching on the opinions required—including authority, enforceability, and property-related opinions—and the assumptions, limitations, and qualifications that counsel should include to limit exposure, the panel will focus on the sublime and absurd opinion requests from which we can all derive some good substantive lessons.  In addition to the panelists, Ira Waldman and Roy Geiger, the authors of the CEB opinion chapter in the Real Estate Finance Practice Book, will provide additional commentary garnered from their years of practice in the opinions field.

Please note: There will be time before and after the panel to network with our fellow practitioners on the Westside.
