The mission of the Sorrell Trope Trial Institute is to make lawyers more comfortable and effective in a trial   environment.   The program is designed to teach trial advocacy skills through a combination of  instruction and mock trial presentations.  This year’s program will focus on how to communicate your client’s position to the judge in a winning context.  The program will begin with a panel presentation by Judge Riff, Judge Richardson, and Susan Fillichio, an attorney who specializes in trial strategy development.  They will be    followed by 2 mock trial presentations demonstrating how to effectively tell your story so the Judge wants to rule in your favor.   Hear constructive feedback on presenting direct and cross exam, laying foundation for demonstrative evidence, and dealing with/getting around objections. The program will conclude with a panel discussing the intersection of civility and advocacy in the courtroom.
