Program Description:
The panel will demystify and explain blockchain technology and its potential applications to commercial real estate transactions and mortgage lending, including an update on current and emerging uses, and the risks and challenges in implementing the technology. We will explore the use of decentralized ledgers and smart contracts to improve efficiency and profitability of real estate transactions, mortgage loan securitization and loan servicing, as well as discuss the emergence of tokenized real estate equity offerings.
