Program Description: The Mechanical Licensing Collective (MLC) was established under the Music Modernization Act and began operating on January 1, 2021. In April, the MLC will begin paying out royalties to rightsholders. Will the MLC “modernize” the music industry? Join our expert panelists to find out all you need to know about music licensing, the establishment of the MLC, and how it will (or won’t) help recording artists and songwriters see an increase in their royalty checks.
