It’s Not Just Compensation: What Every Real Estate Professional Should Know About Eminent Domain Litigation
Presented by: Land Use Planning and Environmental Law Subsection

Program Date:
Wednesday, May 16, 2018

Program Description:
Please join the Land Use, Planning and Environmental Law Subsection of LACBA’s Real Property Section for this lively and informative presentation on what you need to know about eminent domain if you are working in the real estate space.  Our presenters will include Glenn L. Block and Gregory M. Bergman.

Gregory M. Bergman’s extensive eminent domain experience includes handling direct and inverse condemnation for numerous public entity clients throughout northern and southern California. Mr. Bergman has 40+ years of experience in litigation, including jury and bench trials, as well as successful appellate work. As outside counsel for Los Angeles County’s largest transportation agency as it moves forward with its multi-billion dollar transportation infrastructure improvement plan for the County of Los Angeles, Mr. Bergman regularly advises and represents the agency on eminent domain matters. Greg is a frequent speaker on eminent domain matters to client, trade, and professional associations in California.

Glenn Block has concentrated his law practice solely in eminent domain for over twenty years. A successful trial lawyer, he represents both business and property owners in direct and inverse condemnation actions. He also represents public agencies in acquiring property for public use.  Glenn has served as Chair of the Land Use, Planning and Environmental Law Subsection of the Los Angeles County Bar Association (LACBA) and he frequently speaks on a variety of eminent domain related topics for various professional organizations in California.
