(a) When an employee requests a medical leave or an accommodation of a disability, he/she probably doesn’t really need it and will simply go away if you just ignore the request.
(b) If you get served with a PAGA-only complaint, your first thought should be: what is a PAGA, and does it go well with ice cream?
(c) The interactive process describes how to get a date on Tinder.
(d) Nothing says CLE like Malibu in December.
For the answer to the above question and more, please join the Los Angeles County Bar Association Labor & Employment Section Saturday Seminar Committee as we host the second of two Nuts & Bolts programs on employment law on Saturday, December 3, 2016, at the Pepperdine University School of Law. Our first panel will discuss medical leaves and reasonable accommodations, as well as valuing disability discrimination cases, from the perspectives of plaintiff’s counsel, outside defense counsel, and in-house counsel. The second panel will walk attendees through the life of a PAGA litigation, from intake to discovery to settlement and approval, or to trial.
As with the first Nuts & Bolts program, this program is designed for attorneys of all levels, but the discussion will focus on specific issues of interest to practitioners in these areas. Bring your best questions. Sun, surf and CLE – what could be better? Breakfast will be provided.
